Max is in his room when his grandmother knocks on the door and tells him that Gwen Avery called(Freaks Mom)and wanted to tell him that she was sorry and didn't know that Freak and him where trying to be friends.Max is invited over to dinner and Freaks mom talks about Max's mom and how they used to be friends.She also told Max that his dad made it hard for his mom to have friends when they where married. When they are eating Max starts choking,but Freak hits Max in the back and the food comes out.Then Max has a weird felling,which is he's happy.

i love the book freak the mighty although i haven't finished reading it i have to read it in my reading classs but so far so goodd
