Freaks mom comes out of the hospital and says that Freak wants to see Max,because he's making a big fuss.Freak is being held in ICU and won't go home for a while.Then he says that tonight is when the operation begins and he will have a new body.Then Freak gives Max a blank book and tells him to write about all of their adventures together.then Max's grandparents take him home.
