Critique

I love this book,because it's about unending friendship and there adventures. Freak never let go of hope from his disability and thats what I liked about him.Max showed unending compassion for his friend Freak and was heart broken about his death.The only thing I disliked about the book was that Freak died,but it weaves together the whole story of friendship.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventures and true friendship.

Chapter 25

Max locked himself up for days and was feeling terrible,but that was a year ago.Everybody felt sorry for Max,which he didn't like,even Tony D. felt bad for him.Then one day Max saw Loretta Lee and she said that Freaks mom moved to California and has a new boyfriend.She asked whats he been up to and he said nothing and she told him that nothing was a drag. So Freak goes home and writes his book about there adventures and here we are at the end of the story.

Chapter 24

Max sneaks out in the morning and goes to the hospital.The nurses start acting weird and freaked out when he asks where Freak is.Then Max runs to the medical research building and kicks the glass in.Then there was another door instead of glass,but the cops caught up with him and held him back. Freak had died and the doctor said he knew he wouldn't have a long life.She also said he made the fantasy of the robot body to give him hope.Then Max's grandfather picked him up and Max didn't say anything on the way home.

Chapter 23

Freaks mom comes out of the hospital and says that Freak wants to see Max,because he's making a big fuss.Freak is being held in ICU and won't go home for a while.Then he says that tonight is when the operation begins and he will have a new body.Then Freak gives Max a blank book and tells him to write about all of their adventures together.then Max's grandparents take him home.

Chapter 22

Freak says that you can remember anything whether it happened or not.It's Freak's birthday and Max's grandmother and Gwen are making a cake for him and he also got a computer.Then he shows everybody how to play games and cool stuff on the computer.Then all of a sudden Freak has a seizure and is sent to the hospital.

Chapter 21

Max went to the police station to get pictures of the bruises on his neck.Loretta Lee has a cracked bone,but will be o.k. Now Max is sleeping upstairs even though his dad was arrested.Now Freak has been going for checkups every month.Then Max found out his dad plead guilty and will serve 10 extra years to his original sentence.Max's grandfather said he may look like his dad,but he has his moms heart.

Chapter 20

Max starts screaming at his dad that he saw him kill his mom by choking her,just the way he's choking Loretta.Then his dad lets go of her and says that Max couldn't even remember,because he was four.Then Max's dad says he has to clean this up and starts choking his own son.Then Freak comes out of nowhere and shoots Max's dad with his squirt gun that has sulfuric acid.Then they run while Max's dad is chasing them and the cops grab him and take him to jail.The stuff Freak shot at him was actually vinegar ,soap and curry powder.Loretta Lee was also o.k after the attack.
